Naked Wrestling, Bathhouse Healing and the Future of Gay Cruising with Ben Gibson EP 805
What happens when you combine naked wrestling, yoga, cruising, adult content creators, and a little bathhouse healing? You get a fascinating conversation with our special guest Ben Gibson, who's pushing the boundaries of what queer spaces can look like!
Ben currently works at Steamworks Bathhouse in Seattle, where he's helping explore new ways to bring gay men together through sexuality, movement, creativity, and community.
Fresh from speaking at the North American Bathhouse Association about Steamworks' Content Creator Night, Ben joins TAGSPODCAST to talk about his upcoming Queer Mega Naked Yoga event in November, inspired by the ancient Greek palaestra — a space traditionally associated with athletic training and wrestling.
And he's got even bigger ideas!
Ben shares his vision for a naked gym where wrestling, yoga, cruising, and erotic expression can coexist. We get into the world of naked wrestling, including something called "wedgie training," and how he hopes to introduce these experiences at Steamworks Seattle and beyond.
We also talk about his upcoming livestream featuring amateur adult content creators, what viewers can expect to see, and just how explicit things might get!
But there's a deeper side to Ben's story. His upcoming book, Healing at a Bathhouse, explores his personal experiences with mental health, coming out, and discovering the unexpected ways bathhouses can offer connection, acceptance, and healing.
Plus, Ben opens up about his own journey into creating adult content and his work with Queer Men, A.I., helping queer men develop their personal projects and aspirations.
